today i had the chance to handle a leica m8 for about an hour.
we had some spare time waiting for a patient to finish his examination when we walked past a small camera store that had a m8 on display.
i entered and asked them if i could have a look at it. and to my surprise the shop owner agreed (an enlightening experience after reading some horror-stories of shop owners telling their possible customers how to fondle a leica properly).
he even let me go out on the street and take some snaps with the 28mm elmarit on.
the body itself feels pretty bulky but well built like you would expect from a leica.

...or just the developer that died?
i finally finished the roll that i had in my camera for so long now.
i'll develop it with my old x-tol tomorrow.
i'm eager to see if it develops just as bad as the last two rolls.
the developer should still be fine.
i ordered some new though along with some film.
lucky shd400 (i'm really looking forward to playing around with the blown highlights of this film!) and some kodak tri-x (finally! let's see what the highlights look like compared to HP5+).
i really need a break from going out and getting drunk all weekend.
i can hardly remember the last 3-4 weekends.
that sucks!
